Nach Verben wie buy, hurt, look at usw. kannst du myself, yourself, themselves usw. hinzufügen. Aber nur, wenn jemand sich (selbst) etwas kauft, sich (selbst) verletzt oder sich (selbst) anschaut usw.

Jack Taylor hurt himself on his old bike.

"What happened to you?" asked his mother. "Look at yourself in the mirror."

Jack earned some money in the holidays. "Now I can buy myself a new bike," he thought.

The Wilsons enjoyed themselves on holiday.

"Did your friends enjoy themselves at the party?"

The boy hurt himself in the sports hall.

We taught ourselves a very difficult computer game.

"Buy yourselves lunch in town," said Grandfather to Joe and Sam.
