From Jenny's travel diary

April 3rd

Put in either the simple past or the present perfect.

Our first night in Scotland! We __________ (leave) Nottingham after breakfast, and __________ (drive) up the M6. Dad __________(drive) in the morning (Mum read the map), and Mum drove in the afternoon (Dad read the map, and we went wrong twice!). We __________ (arrive) here at five o'clock.

We __________ (find) a nice place for bed and breakfast with Mr and Mrs MacTavish. Mrs MacTavish __________ (give) us a big Scottish tea. David and I can see Loch Lomond from our windows. Mum and Dad __________ (take) the big room. But they can only see the garages from their windows. The lake looks lovely. We __________ (not be) out on it yet. But there's a boat for guests so we can go rowing tomorrow.
