A special day for Jenny

The pupils in 8 MD must write a story about "a special day". This is Jenny's story:

My special day

Last spring I still lived with the Penroses. One Saturday afternoon David and Mark and I went into the garden. It was very warm. My aunt and uncle came outside, and we all sat under the apple tree. David gave me his new comic. "Here," he said. "You can read this." I tried to read - but I was too excited! Then I heard a noise - a car! At last! "They're here!" I shouted. The car was in front of the house. My parents saw me right away, of course, and got out of the car and gave me a big hug. I was so happy! Then I took them into the garden - and we all had tea together.
