Buddhism

"Buddha" means "one who has woken up". An Indian prince, Siddharta Gautama, started the religion in northern India around 500 B.C. Buddhists say there are many ways to be spiritual and there is no one true religion. Buddhism has become very popular in Europe and the US in the last 30 years. There are around 500 million Buddhists today.
