Holidays in Wales
Many people go to Wales on holiday. It is famous for its mountains, which stretch from North to South Wales, its beautiful valleys and its national parks. In North Wales, visitors can go canal boating on the beautiful Llangollen Canal, or walking, pony-trekking and canoeing in Snowdonia National Park. Wales has many activity holiday centres where you can try canoeing, sailing, climbing, pony-trekking and mountain biking. In the south, there are wild, sandy beaches along Carmarthen Bay and around the Gower Peninsula. Most of its coast is protected and has not been spoilt by tourism or industry.
